MWC 2018: Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ Expected to be Launched

At the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2018, set to be held at Barcelona in Spain, we expect that the next-generation Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ will be unveiled. We have earlier reported how the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the LG G7, LG’s next-generation flagship, at the CES 2018. The Mobile World Congress or MWC is by far the world’s largest mobile devices exhibition.

It has also been reported that the new Galaxy devices will be exhibited behind closed doors at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas as early as January. Now, however, we believe that the devices will have a delayed launch. We have previously covered the design aesthetics of the Samsung Galaxy S9. In fact, we had reported earlier that the devices by Samsung, a part of the 2018 Galaxy models, would launch before the MWC 2018 started.

The new Samsung Galaxy S9 may look like this

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ are the flagship models of next year. Given the unfortunate situations surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S7 series, the company had to launch its own devices at a separate event this year. Next year, the MWC will be the arena which will see the devices being launched before a global audience.

We cannot obviously predict the exact date of the launch. However, we do know that the device will have an unboxing event on February 25. This South Korean behemoth is set to hold a launch event for the Galaxy S9 phones one day prior to the MWC 2018, set to start on February 26. The much-anticipated Galaxy Unpacked 2018 event is thus set for an unveiling on February 25.

We all know that the Samsung Galaxy S8 has successfully managed to turn the fortunes around for the Korean giant. All we have to do is wait and watch how well the next-generation devices do. The launch is but the beginning. Stay tuned for most updates.
