The much-awaited Nokia 6 (2018) has finally been cleared by TENAA and is looking to launch in January 2018. The Nokia 6 of 2017 had been launched this year in the month of August where it also made a splash in the Indian market. In fact, the Nokia 6, which has been manufactured by fellow Finnish company HMD Global, which holds the trademark to the name and brand of Nokia, had been a very decent device, doing well against the likes of the Redmi Note 4, as we had compared here.
GizmoChina reports that the model Nokia TA-1054 which was leaked earlier is not likely to be the Nokia 9 but is instead a variant of the Nokia 6 (2018). The report comes via the website NokiaPowerUser and can be accessed here. No much of the specs and features have been made public via the TENAA listing; however, we do know that it will be a dual-SIM smartphone.
A similar design language along the lines of the Nokia 7 has been noted. We noticed much-reduced bezels and also, the hardware touch buttons have now been ditched for on-screen keys. A leak also suggests a dual camera setup at the rear as well as an 18:9 aspect ratio, which is the flavor of the season. As of now, we do not know if the Nokia 6 (2018) will feature the Nokia 8-akin Dual Sight or Bothie which was much appreciated.
The second-generation Nokia 6 may a 5.5-inch display that, like we said earlier, will also have an 18:9 aspect ratio. Powering the device will be a pretty decent Snapdragon 630 SoC which will be paired with 4GB RAM as well as 32GB of innate storage capacity, which is pretty run-of-the-mill. Since there is a full-screen design, we believe that a fingerprint sensor located at the rear of the Nokia 6 smartphone may turn out to be a reality after all.
