Given that ZTE has launched only a fewer amount of handsets, 2017 has been one uneventful year for the company. Nevertheless, the strategy of this Chinese OEM is still left unknown. Now, if the latest report is correct, a ZTE branded smartphone, dubbed the ZTE Blade V9, has been spotted on the company’s Spanish website. As per the news, this smartphone happens to be the initial mobile device from the company to feature a display with an aspect ratio of 18:9.
As far as the design aesthetic is concerned, Gizbot reports that the smartphone sports a double-sided glass design. The glass at rear appears to be similar to the HTC’s U lineup smartphones. The ZTE Blade V9 features narrow bezels around the display, so as a matter of fact, the prominent bezels on the top and bottom indicates that the device cannot be termed as an entirely ‘bezel-less’ smartphone. The fingerprint scanner is embedded on the rear panel.
The Blade V8 featured an average design, the successor comes with an improved design, on the aesthetics front. The ZTE Blade V9 sports a 5.7-inch FHD+ In-Cell display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Underneath, it houses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor alike to the Xiaomi Redmi 5. Memory wise, the device comes in three variants. While one of the variants comes with 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage, the other two are occupied with 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB native storage respectively.
On the imaging department, the ZTE Blade V9 features a dual rear camera module with 16MP autofocus sensor and 5MP fixed focus sensor, besides a 6P lens and f/1.8 aperture. The selfie shooter consists of a 13MP camera. This device spotted online runs the Android Oreo operating system, out of the box. ZTE Blade V9 measures 151.4×70.6×7.5 mm and comes with a weight of 140 grams. It will be available in two color options- Black and Gold.
