Can This Wi-Fi Certified Mysterious ZTE Phone be The ZTE Axon 8?

To go by the recent report, the Shenzhen-based multinational telecommunications systems and equipment company, ZTE, has emerged in the new leak. The rollout leak suggests that a mysterious ZTE smartphone has received the Wi-Fi certification. Speculations are rife concerning the smartphone to be none other than the alleged ZTE Axon 8.

The smartphone’s Wi-Fi certification has revealed quite a few things, of which we have come to know that it carries a model number Z2321U. In addition, this alleged ZTE Axon 8 smartphone will run the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system, out of the box. This version of Android Oreo is currently available only on Google Pixel and the Nexus devices, reports GizmoChina.

While the smartphone is ahead of receiving the other certifications’ approval (like the TENAA, Bluetooth SIG, FCC, Geekbench) if this mysterious ZTE phone turns out to be the ZTE Axon 8, it has already been spotted on GFXBench back in the month of June.

Mysterious ZTE Phone Wi-Fi Certified Might be the Alleged ZTE Axon 8

Specification wise, the smartphone was spotted with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset (clocked at 2.1GHz) under its hood. The processor was reported to be paired with 128 GB native storage and 4GB of RAM. This alleged ZTE Axon 8 will have the Qualcomm Adreno 530 as its GPU. There would be a 5.5-inch screen which will carry a support for 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution.

As of now, ZTE is no longer marketing its Axon 7 device. The company nevertheless has promised to produce a worthy successor. Back in the month of November in 2017, there were speculations that Axon 7’s successor might be unveiled at either the (CES) Consumer Electronics Show 2018 or the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018. The Z2321U phone might be the alleged ZTE Axon 8 which the company might launch at the MWC this year. But we are still ahead of any further confirmation from the company. Will ZTE unveil the Axon 8 at MWC 2018?
