It has been one month ever since Samsung made both its mid-range smartphones official- the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) and Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018). The smartphones, replacing the Galaxy A5 (2017) and A7 (2015) devices, were earlier reported to be Amazon exclusive devices. The recent report points out at the availability of the Galaxy A8 (2018) variant in the Netherlands, and also shed lights on the fact that it is coming soon in other European countries too.
There’s nevertheless no difference between the price tag at which the device is launched in Europe. Earlier, while reporting on the price details that were made public, we have already informed that both Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018) were expected to be priced at €499 and €599 respectively. Samsung’s official website gives us a fair idea that Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) is set to cost € 499.00 in Europe.
From the leaks so far, it is yet not confirmed whether or not the higher variant known as the Galaxy A8+ (2018) will come for the European fans. So for that, we need to keep a close eye on every possible news.
To recall, the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) comes with a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED Infinity display and supports an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The device bears a Full HD+ resolution of 2220 x 1080 pixels. Powering this Samsung device, there’s the company’s in-house Exynos 7885 chipset which is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage.
The company’s initial smartphone to come with the dual front-facing camera module, Galaxy A8 (2018), sports a 16-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel sensor. Whereas, on the rear panel, there’s a 16-megapixel snapper. The fuel is offered by 2,000mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) has already started its pre-orders and is shipping from January 5 onwards, which we had earlier reported here. While on the contrary, the Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018) is expected to debut officially on January 10, i.e., tomorrow. For the time being, one can watch this space for further updates.
