HMD Global in the previous month already stated that Nokia 3 will not get the Android 7.1.2 Nougat update. But the Finnish tech company made it very clear from its statement that Nokia 3 will directly get the update of Android Oreo. Fresh reports surfaced online indicates that the chief product officer at HMD Global, Juho Sarvikas, has revealed from the Twitter handle, “Also #Nokia2 but will go straight to 8.1 to get memory optimization features as it is a 1GB RAM device.” Following this, Juho Sarvikas also states that the Android Oreo beta update for Nokia 3 is ‘around the corner’ (“#Nokia3 Beta Labs right around the corner”).
While no other revelation regarding the details of the Android Oreo beta update for Nokia 3 has been confirmed from Juho Sarvika’s post, the update is set to come through the dedicated Beta Labs program of HMD Global. To know more on this front, one has to keep an eye for more news. The same post also indicates that Nokia 2, one of the most inexpensive smartphones from the company) will also directly get the Android 8.1 Oreo flavor which includes the memory optimization feature, which was already confirmed by the company earlier.
