Vivo X20 Plus UD With on-screen Fingerprint Scanner Certified by TENAA, May Launch Soon

Vivo has already taken the technological sector by storm after it beat international giants like Samsung and Apple to be the first company to launch a device with an on-screen fingerprint scanner. That device is the Vivo X20 Plus UD and we have covered it earlier too. This is the device which has now been announced to have been certified by the TENAA marking the way for an imminent release.

The device that we saw on the TENAA was pretty similar to the one which was released with the on-screen display. Incidentally, the Vivo X20 Plus UD version obviously doesn’t come with a square rear-mounted fingerprint scanner; instead, the TENAA listing also shows off the specs and features of the Vivo X20 Plus UD.

Incidentally, Vivo has released quite a few versions of the X20 Plus, including the X20 Blue edition which was launched late last year. Remember that we had reported how the device would be launched by the end of January.

The new Vivo X20 Plus UD

The new Vivo X20 Plus UD will boast a 6.43-inch OLED display that will have a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. The smartphone is set to be powered by a superb 2.2GHz octa-core processor which will now be paired with 4GB RAM, making it a very powerful device. While reports have suggested that the internal storage of the handset will be 128GB, it will also have support for expansion to up to 256GB via a dedicated micro SD card.

Also, the Vivo X20 Plus UD boasts a dual rear camera setup which is a combination of a 12-megapixel lens and a less powerful secondary 5-megapixel lens. Onboard is a 12-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling as well. The device will have ample juice thanks to a 3800mAh battery. The likely color options are Black Gold, Champagne Gold, Rose Gold, and Matte Black. Stay tuned for more.
