The Xiaomi Mi A1 has finally started receiving the stable version of Android 8.0 Oreo. The news was revealed on Twitter by the official handle of Xiaomi Inc. on December 31, 2017. It stated that the update will roll out in batches, which means it will take a bit of time to cover up all the handsets and all users will not receive the update at once. The Mi A1 received the beta version of the Android Oreo 8.0 in December last year.
The new stable version reportedly has a total size of 1108 MB and has some major security fixes along with some new features. It is to be noted that all Mi A1 users need to first install the 7.12.29 (Android Nougat) software version to get the Oreo update over the air (OTA).
The new Oreo update of Mi A1 brings in features like Picture-in-Picture mode, background limits, auto-fill, notification dots, smart text selection, Google Play protect and new settings menu.
The Xiaomi Mi A1 is a great option to consider under Rs 15,000 price range, especially after the Android Oreo 8.0 update. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB RAM. It is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass with a 5.5 inch full HD display screen.
