Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Leaks Again, Shows off Dual Rear Cameras

Last year, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 had been released to great critical and commercial acclaim as we had reported. Chinese major Xiaomi plans to replicate that success with the launch of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3. Just two days ago, the device had leaked showing off a 7-inch Full-HD display. Which means that Xiaomi may ultimately believe in the ‘bigger is better’ philosophy.

Now, a new leak has shown off the new phone in all its glory. The news comes to us via OnPhones and you can read more here. The picture reveals its rear side and shows the dual camera set up. The last leaks had indicated s single camera setup only on the rear. The new leaked image incidentally shows off the upper portion of the rear side. The dual camera setup also boasts a dual LED flash as well as a fingerprint scanner. We also spotted the antenna lines on the top of this device. Lastly, on the right of the device, we spotted the power button and the volume rockers.

The most recent leak also shows that the new Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and not the Snapdragon 635 like the earlier leak had indicated. All other specs remain the same. The Snapdragon 635 is a more enhanced version of the Snapdragon 625, which was released earlier. The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will likely boast a 12-megapixel rear camera complementing a front-facing snapper of 5-megapixel meant for selfies and video calls. Onboard will be the Android Nougat skinned with MIUI 9.

There will be two versions of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3: one will have 3GB RAM alongside 64GB of internal storage while a more premium version will have 4GB RAM with 128GB internal storage. Onboard is a mammoth 5,500 mAh battery armed with Quick Charge 3.0 technology as well as reverse charging: it can charge other devices connected to it.

The new Xiaomi Mi Max 3’s base variant will come for 1,699 Yuan which is roughly Rs 16,842. Expect it to be official by June 2018.
