Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Receives a 300 Yuan Price Cut Across All Models

Xiaomi Mi Mix is said to be the first phone in the Mi range to feature the full screen 18:9 aspect ratio display and Xiaomi followed the same trend with its successor, the Mi Mix 2. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 features much more reduced bezels than its predecessor, while retaining the 18:9 aspect ratio screen.

The Mi Mix 2 comes at a selling price of 3299 Yuan (Rs 32,000 approximately) for the base model with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. On contrary, the higher version with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage comes at a price of 4,699 Yuan (Rs 46,000 approximately). Both the variants have reportedly received price cuts of 300 Yuan (Rs 3,000 approximately) just four months after its official launch. We don’t know the exact reason for the price cut, but the offer could end really soon as per sources.

However, the report also suggests that with this price cut, the cost could become even more competitive across all major sales channel as more days go by. You may even get the device at a much lower price outside China as online seller GreatBear recently offered the 6GB variant of thephone at a price tag of $439.99 only with coupons, although it is listed at $462.

To recall, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 features a 5.99-inch full HD display with a resolution of 2160 X 1080 pixels. It houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU. It is supported by 6GB RAM on one variant, while there are three storage variants of 64GB, 128GB and 256GB respectively. There is also a special edition having 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

The Mi Mix 2 features a 12MP Sony IM 386 sensor at the rear and a 5MP front camera. A 4,400 mAh battery powers the phone and it also boasts a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. There is also support for Wi-Fi and 4G LTE bands. The device runs on MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat OS and comes only in Black, except for the special ceramic edition.
