Taiwanese technology giant Acer has launched the Acer Swift 7, which is claimed to be the thinnest laptop in the world. This laptop is just 8.98 mm in thickness, making it easier for users to carry them wherever they want.
The Acer Swift 7 will be available for sale in North America from March 2018 onwards at a selling price of $1,699 (Rs 1,07,470 approximately). It would be available for sale in Europe later with a price tag of 1,699 Euros (Rs 1,29,329 approximately). The Acer Swift 7 sports an aluminium unibody design, which imparts a premium look to the laptop. It is fitted with a 14-inch full HD IPS 5 display.
The laptop also features the Acer Color Intelligence and Corning Gorilla Glass protected NBT touchscreen and touchpad. It also has backlit keyboard, which would be helpful in low light conditions like in flights and trains.
The Acer Swift 7 houses a powerful 7th generation Intel Core i7 processor. The laptop offers 8GB LPDDR3 primary memory and 256GB of PCIe SSD storage space.
On the software front, the Acer Swift 7 runs the Windows 10 OS, providing its customers a seamless user experience. Coming to the battery, it is reported to last up to 10 hours on a single charge.
The laptop also features, Intel XMM 4G LTE connectivity, Nano SIM card support and eSIM technology which enables users to download and activate eSIM profiles. It also features a fingerprint reader for additional protection.
Apart from Swift 7, Acer has also announced the launch of an upgraded version of its Spin 3 (SP314-51) laptop. The revamped Spin 3 features a durable 360 degree dual-torque hinge, which enables it to be used as a laptop, tablet or display. It also features space-saving text mode.
The laptop is powered by the 8th generation Intel core processor, with a maximum battery life of 12 hours. It also boasts a 14-inch full HD IPS display, with two front speakers , featuring the company’s in-house TrueHarmony technology.
