Alcatel is reportedly gearing up to launch some new smartphones divided into three categories. They are likely to be Alcatel 1, Alcatel 3 and the Alcatel 5 series. Now, the full specifications and possible price of the Alcatel 3V model has been leaked online just ahead of the official launch which is scheduled at MWC 2018.
The specs has been revealed on Twitter by a renowned leakster Roland Quandt. According to his tweet, the smartphone may arrive in three color variants of Blue, Black and Gold. He has shared a few images of the new device along with the complete specifications.
Talking about the specifications, the Alcatel 3V will feature a 6-inch full HD and IPS display screen having a resolution of 2160 X 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9 with 2.5D curved glass. The device is allegedly powered by a quad-core 1.45 GHz MediaTek MT35A processor and Mali T20 MP2 GPU. The product may ship with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage space with further expansion possible up to 128GB with micro-SD card support.
The Alcatel 3V is powered by a 3000 mAh battery, capable of providing 6 hours of talktime and 500 hours of standby time. It would run on the latest Android Oreo 8.0 version. The device would also support 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS with dual-SIM and micro-SD card slot.
Coming to the camera department, the device would feature a dual-camera setup on the rear panel of the phone. The primary camera is of 12 megapixel while the secondary camera is 2 megapixel. There will be a 5 megapixel front facing camera with auto-focus and LED flash.
Talking about the expected price of the new device, it could be somewhere around $219. It may seem a bit heavy on the pocket, but considering the specifications the device is going to offer, it may be worth it. We will have to wait a few days till the launch date to know the exact price of the device.
