Transsion Holdings backed Infinix brand is now gearing up to launch a new “S series” smartphone in the Indian market tomorrow. Already, reports have shed lights on the fact that tomorrow is the big day when Infinix ‘India First’ smartphone will come to the Indian shores. Newer reports that surfaced today on the Internet indicate that the same smartphone tomorrow will debut as a Flipkart exclusive.
The existing reports indicate that the upcoming smartphone will be an ‘India first’ smartphone. Going by the reports, the company has already sent out the media invites for the launch event which will happen on February 6 in Mumbai at 11:30 AM. Gizbot reports that Infinix India has also teased the launch of the upcoming smartphone through its Twitter handle which comes with a hashtag “#GameChanged”.
In addition, the e-commerce portal, Flipkart has also put up a teaser that hints us at the availability of the smartphone on its website exclusively. The Infinix ‘India First’ smartphone will bear a bezel-less display and will come with an aspect ratio of 18:9. From the Flipkart teaser as well as Infinix India Twitter handle, the upcoming Infinix ‘India First’ smartphone will apparently boast the dual selfie camera module on the front panel. It is said that this camera setup can add DSLR-like bokeh effects to the selfie shots. One can expect the camera setup to be enhanced for capturing brighter selfies in low-light conditions as well.
The Flipkart teaser also hints us to the fact that the Infinix S series smartphone will come with a FullView display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The teased image shows the presence of minuscule bezels at the smartphone’s sides. Also, it may feature slim bezels at the top as well as the bottom without housing any physical home button. As of now, other details concerning the processor, display size, battery are still left to be known.
While the smartphone is expected to come with a dual selfie camera setup, speculations are rife that it may compete with other devices like the Honor 9 Lite, Oppo F5, Vivo V7 and V7+, and the likes. Whether or not the Infinix ‘India First’ smartphone will see the light of the day for global launch is yet to be seen, so stay tuned for further revelations in the coming days.
