The Nokia phone, the Nokia 8 has already started receiving the Android 8.1 Oreo update. The latest version of Android OS update has been announced by Juho Sarvikas, CPO of the Finnish tech giant HMD Global, through a post on the Twitter handle. The latest report also points out that the rollout will be available in global version and also in the Plus version with a whopping 6 GB of RAM and a 128 GB of internal storage.
While this Android 8.1 Oreo update isn’t a massive update of the Android operating system, it is reportedly not a minor one either, for it comes with the inclusion of several improvements. One may find the additional notification which shows the device’s remaining battery percent connected via the Bluetooth, both in settings as well as in the quick toggles. Also, the power menu has been redesigned with a clear look. The research bar is now added to the settings option and there have been some other improvements to the notifications as well as the backup features.
To recall, this flagship Nokia phone comes with a 5.3-inch IPS QHD display and supports a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
