Oppo A71 (2018) Launched With AI Beauty Recognition Technology and Snapdragon 450 SoC

Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has launched its next mid-range smartphone, the Oppo A71 (2018) in Pakistan and is likely to get launched in India very soon. The smartphone was announced in September last year, and is quite similar to its predecessor with some improvements under the hood.

The phone is currently listed on Oppo’s official Pakistan website with a price tag of PKR 19,899 (Rs 11,508 approx) and is available in Gold and Black color variants. The official launch date in India has not been revealed yet, but we are expecting official word from the company very soon.

The Oppo A71 (2018)

The Oppo A71 (2018) is the successor of the A71 which was launched in India last year at a price of Rs 12,990. The price of the device has been slashed by Rs 3000 recently, probably because the new Oppo A71 (2018) would be launched soon in India. One of the best features of this new device is the AI Beauty Recognition Technology which enables the user to take better and clear selfies, along with some hardware upgrades from the older Oppo A71.

The Oppo A71 (2018) features a metal unibody design and a 5.2-inch HD display screen with 720 X 1280 pixels resolution. The  company has rejected the MediaTek MT6750 and has instead opted for the more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core 1.8GHz processor  and Adreno 506 GPU for the Oppo A71 (2018) handset. The new device will feature 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage space with further expansion possible with micro-SD card up to 256GB. It would run on Android 7.1 Nougat and Color OS 3.2 operating system. A 3000mAh battery powers the phone.

Talking about the camera section, the Oppo A71 (2018) features a 13 MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, with PDAF and LED flash, and a front camera of 5 MP with f/2.4 aperture for taking selfies and video calling. The smartphone would also support 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM, Wi-Fi  (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth and GPS. It also features a proximity sensor, light sensor, and E-compass.
