Airtel’s New Plan Offers Unlimited Voice Calls and 40GB Data at Rs. 499

Ever since Reliance Jio’s groundbreaking entry towards approaching the ultra-affordable recharges, telecom giants have reportedly been going low by their sales figure. Given that the Indian telecom company, Aircel, already got discontinued and stopped its services by the end of last month, Aircel customers are now switching to either Airtel or Vodafone. While both the aforementioned telecom giants have acquired a minimum of 25 lakh subscriber in just a month, Vodafone reportedly started offering exciting plans. Last day we have already reported on Vodafone’s latest plan of Rs. 21 that’ll give unlimited 4G data for one hour. To offer some similar kind of respite to the postpaid users, Bharat Airtel has recently announced a new postpaid plan.

Airtel Introduces New Plan for Postpaid Users

The new postpaid plan from Airtel will offer unlimited local, STD as well as incoming and outgoing roaming calls. Besides this, it will also give users a 40GB of 3G/ 4G data (with rollover facility), as well as 1-year Amazon Prime subscription that is valid up to 30 days (one billing cycle). All these exciting offers can be owned with a price tag of only Rs. 499.

On the comparison front, Jio’s Rs. 509 postpaid plan comes with a total of 60GB data with a daily limit of 2GB per day. Reliance Jio’s Rs. 509 postpaid plan comes with approximately 50 percent extra data benefits though with a limit of 2GB daily. The plan also needs a Rs. 600 security deposit, however, it comes with an unlimited SMS messages pack and unlimited access to Jio’s slew of apps.

This one happens to be a rare instance where Airtel launches a new plan for its postpaid customers. Apart from the aforementioned benefits, this Rs. 499 unlimited plan even offers the Wynk TV subscription (as reported here), Handset Damage Protection, as well as, access to its library of Live TV & Movies.

Airtel earlier this month had launched a Rs. 995 prepaid pack which came with the offers such as unlimited voice calls, 1GB 3G or 4G data a month (i.e. a total of 6GB) valid up to 180 days (approx. six months), as well as 100 SMS messages a day. The pack happens to be applicable in most of the major telecom circles in the Indian market.
