The update carries the firmware version – N950FXXU3CRC1 and includes the Android security patch for March as well. All the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, as well as Galaxy S8+ devices, are expected to receive the Oreo flavor within the next 2-3 weeks. In case if one hasn’t received the update until now, one can keep a close eye on the notification panel. Also, one can check the update manually by visiting the Settings of their phone >> then tap on the About Phone section >> then choose the System Updates option. But one must remember that it’s a firmware update, so one needs to back up the date ahead of updating the phone with the new OS.

Talking about the update, it has a size of 1.47GB. Users should first ensure their phone with at least 50 percent battery or even more so that carrying forward with the installation procedure becomes easier and less taxing with the help of a Wi-Fi network. This is due to the fact that using the mobile network might cost additional data charges., reports Gizbot.

Some of the basic improvements are that the Bluetooth now supports high-quality audios, which also include AAC as well as Sony LDAC. The video player now includes auto-repeat as well as 2x speed option. Moreover, the voice recorder will now provide smart tips in order to block calls conveniently when someone’s recording. In addition to it, the email will let users flag the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync emails. So all Samsung‘s Galaxy Note 8 users who until now didn’t update their smartphones, can carry forward the procedure to get hold of the Android Oreo flavor.
