Moto G6, Moto G6 Play and Moto G6 Plus gets Unveiled; Check out the Features and Price

Lenovo owned Motorola, has finally unveiled the flagship Moto G6 series smartphones at a launch event in Sao Paulo, Brazil. While the devices are already on sale in Brazil, they are likely to be made available on a global scale including India very soon. Alongside the Moto G6 series, the company has also unveiled the Moto E5 series of smartphones at the launch event held yesterday.

Out of the three smartphones, the Moto G6 Plus is the costliest of the lot with a price tag of $369 which is approximately Rs 24,350 in India. The Moto G6 has been priced at $249 which is approximately Rs 16,500 and the Moto G6 Play at $199 which is approximately Rs 13,000 in India. Motorola is yet to reveal the exact price and release date of the devices in India, but we are expecting a word from the company soon.

Coming to specifications, we start with the Moto G6 which sports a 5.7-inch full HD resolution display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 450 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. It boasts 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage that is further upgradable to 128GB with a micro-SD card. In terms of optics of the device, the smartphone features a dual rear camera setup of 12-megapixel and a 5-megapixel sensor with LED flash. On the front, it features an 8-megapixel sensor also with a LED flash. The dual SIm phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wifi 802.11 ac, NFC, GPS, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 4.2 and 3.5mm headphone jack. It packs a 3,000mAh battery and is available in Indigo and Silver variants.

Coming to the premium Moto G6 Plus, the device sports a larger 5.93-inch full HD IPS display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset with Adreno 508 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It comes with 64GB inbuilt storage space that is upgradable with a micro-SD card. On the optical and connectivity front, the features are similar to the Moto G6. It, however, packs a larger 3,200mAh battery. It is available in Indigo and Gold color variants.

The Moto G6 Play sports a 5.7-inch HD screen with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is also powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage that is upgradable with a micro-SD card. The smartphone features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It runs on the latest Android Oreo 8.0 out of the box and packs a massive 4,000mAh battery. The connectivity features are similar to the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus. It is also available in Indigo and Gold variants.
