The detailed information regarding the three new models is not available right now. Apple is also expected to unveil three new iPhones in 2018 as well. One of them is likely to be the successor of the iPhone X and may be called iPhone X Plus.

Talking about the 2019 iPhone models, as per a report by Taipei Times which cited a research note by Yuanta Securities analyst Jeff Pu, Apple will launch at least one iPhone model with triple rear camera setup in the second half of 2019. Nothing else has been mentioned in the report and information about the other iPhone models are scarce at the moment.

However, another report by the Economic Daily News has claimed that the upcoming iPhone model with triple rear cameras will boast a 6P lens design with up to 5X optical zoom. The report has also claimed that one of the cameras will be of 12-megapixels but the specifications of the other two cameras have not been mentioned.

If the above reports turn out to be true, then it would be the first time that an iPhone will feature a triple rear camera setup with 3X optical zoom. To recall, the iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and the iPhone X all come with 2X optical zoom.

Some reports have also suggested that the upcoming iPhone with three rear cameras is going to be the most expensive iPhone ever launched by the company. The iPhone may become the third generation Apple iPhone X or iPhone X Plus. Going by the launch trend of the California based company, it is expected that the three new iPhone models may be launched in September 2019.
