The update is being rolled out along with the May Android Security patch so it is recommended to install the update as soon as it is made available. Further, the update is being rolled out in patches which mean all the devices will not receive the update at once. Users can check for the availability by diving to Settings> About Phone> System Updates. It will be available over the air (OTA) so it is recommended to take a backup of all the data on your smartphone before proceeding with the installation to avoid data loss. Also, a reliable data connection or secure WiFi is recommended for downloading the update and the phone’s battery should have a minimum of 50% charge.

The Moto G5S Plus was launched in India with a price tag of Rs 15,999 in August last year. Its price was subsequently by Rs 1000 later and is now available for purchase on Amazon and Moto hubs across the country.

It comes with 64GB of inbuilt storage space which can be further expanded to 128GB via a micro SD card.

On the optics front, the Moto G5S Plus sports a dual rear camera setup with two 13-megapixel sensors accompanied by an LED flash. On the front, the smartphone features an 8-megapixel selfie shooter with an LED flash.

Connectivity options in the smartphone include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, Micro-USB and 3.5mm headphone jack. It is fueled by a 3,000mAh battery that supports the fast charging feature.
