Japanese video game company Nintendo has officially announced a new Pokemon game dubbed as Pokemon Quest for Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch gaming console. The announcement comes alongside the unveiling of the Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee games.
Pokemon Quest is currently available for download on Nintendo Switch via the eShop but the Android and iOS versions have not been released yet. The game comes with a download size of 221MB and the Android and iOS versions are likely to be released in early June.
Talking about the setup of the game, it takes place in Tumblecube island which according to Nintendo is filled with “hidden treasures and items”. The Pokemon in the latest game has a boxy appearance and can be customized to build new base camps to attract new Pokemon and add to the team. Also, you can take a maximum of three Pokemon to battle but the actual control of your Pokemon in the game has been reduced. Instead of the regular turn-based attacks, you can now only control your Pokemon to tapping attack meters once full.
“Take on the help of Pokemon originally discovered in the Kanto region in the new Pokemon Quest game! In this free-to-start Pokemon entry you can search for treasure, battle bosses, and more,” Nintendo posted on its official Twitter handle.
Since this is a free game, there are three different packs available for download to enhance your gaming experience. They are Pokemon Quest Expedition pack, Pokemon Quest Great Expedition pack and the Pokemon Quest Ultra Expedition pack. All the three packs can be downloaded easily and come with exclusive features of its own.
Alongside the Pokemon Quest, the Japanese company has also taken the lid off of two new games called Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee. Both the games are heavily inspired by Pokemon Go game that became a worldwide hit after its release. The company also said that it released these two games to continue the legacy of the Pokemon Go game. Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee is set for release on November 16 this year on the Nintendo Switch.
