Samsung is expected to launch a slew of smartphones targeted for the mid-range market in India today. The company is set to hold a launch event in Mumbai today to unveil the Samsung Galaxy J6 along with Samsung Galaxy A6, Galaxy A6+, and the Samsung Galaxy J4.
The company has also confirmed on Twitter that the Samsung Galaxy J6 will be available for purchase from tomorrow, May 22. According to the press invites sent by Samsung for the launch event says that the smartphones will sport Infinity Display screens that were first introduced on the Samsung Galaxy S8 series last year. As far as the pricing is concerned, the Samsung Galaxy A6 and the galaxy A6+ may come with a price tag between Rs 20,000 and Rs 25,000 while the Samsung Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J6 may be priced between Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000.
Coming to the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy A6 and the Galaxy A6+, the Galaxy A6 will sport a 5.6-inch full HD+ display while the Samsung Galaxy A6+ will sport a larger 6-inch full HD+ display panel. Both the devices will feature Infinity Displays with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9.
The Samsung Galaxy A6 and the Galaxy A6+ are expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 1.6GHz and 1.8GHz processors respectively. Both the devices will come in similar specifications in terms of RAM and internal storage with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage and another variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage.
On the camera front, the Samsung Galaxy A6 will sport a single rear camera of 16-megapixels and a front camera of 16-megapixels. The Galaxy A6+ will sport a dual rear camera panel of 16-megapixel and 5-megapixels. On the front, it will feature a 24-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling.
The Samsung Galaxy A6 will be fueled by a 3,000mAh battery under the hood while the Galaxy A6+ will feature a larger 3,500mAh battery. Both the devices will run on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
