Cupertino based conglomerate Apple recently rolled out the iOS 11.4 update for compatible iPhones, iPads and also Apple watch to introduce some new features along with stability updates. Now the company has started rolling out macOS High Sierra update with version number 10.13.5 for its mac devices. The latest update brings security improvements along with the ability to sync Messages all devices through iCloud.
Apple was reportedly working on the feature to sync Messages from iCloud for quite some time now. The feature was also spotted many times earlier in beta updates. The iOS 11.4 update launched last week introduced this sync feature to iPhones, iPads and iPad Touch devices and now it is being introduced for Mac devices as well.
The iCloud syncing feature will also allow the users to switch from one device to the other easily. This is because, all the Messages will stay intact on the cloud and when a user opts to switch to a new device, all the messages can be synced from the cloud by signing in with the same Apple ID. Also when a user deletes a message, the same will reflect on all the devices connected with the same ID.
One other ability that MAC users will get is that they will be able to store the sent and received attachments on the iCloud too. This will help to conserve space on their devices. It is also to be noted that Apple currently allows only 5GB of data storage on iCloud for free. Any user wanting to store more data will have to update his/her account.
The macOS 10.13.5 update also brings major security improvements like an updated driver for graphics card that comes with Intel or AMD CPU. The update also brings a fix for the vulnerability of the Mail app that allows the hackers to intercept and read encrypted emails from the inbox. In addition, it also brings stability and performance upgrades for MAC devices.
