A new Sony smartphone has been found to be listed on a benchmarking website. The device with model number SM H8416 is alleged to be the Xperia XZ3 which is likely to become the next flagship release from the Japanese tech giant.
The smartphone has been spotted on GFXBench benchmarking website first spotted by folks at NCC. It reveals some of the key specifications of the upcoming flagship smartphone from Sony. As per the listing, the smartphone is expected to run on Android 9.0 P which is yet to be released by Google. The phone will feature a 5.9-inch QHD+ display with a screen resolution of 2880 X 1440 pixels. This would also make it the first smartphone from Sony to come with such a large resolution.
The benchmark listing also revealed that the Sony Xperia XZ3 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and Adreno 630 GPU. It will be backed up with 6GB of RAM and a massive 128GB of inbuilt storage space. On the optics front, the smartphone is expected to arrive with a 19-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, face detection, and 4K ultra HD video recording capabilities. On the front, the device will feature a 13-megapixel shooter for taking selfies and video calling. Both the devices will be supported by LED flash.
As per earlier leaked specifications of the Xperia XZ3, the smartphone was claimed to arrive with a dual rear camera setup that may feature a 19-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture and another 12-megapixel sensor with f/1.6 aperture. It will feature a 13-megapixel selfie shooter and was also expected to arrive with 6GB of RAM.
However, these specifications should be taken lightly as the company may change any of it ahead of its launch. Also, there is no information about the launch date of the Sony Xperia XZ3 as of now. We are waiting for an official announcement from Sony soon in this regard.
