One of the largest telecom operators in India, Airtel has revised some of its postpaid plans to offer more data and counter its rivals like Reliance Jio and Vodafone. Notably, Vodafone had also revised its Vodafone Red postpaid plans last week to take on Reliance Jio. Airtel has revised its Rs 799 plan to offer 100GB of data instead of 60GB that it provided earlier. It has also upgraded the Rs 1,199 postpaid plan to offer 120GB of data instead of 100GB earlier. Both these plans also offer rollover facility of any unused data to the following month.
The Rs 7,99 plan of Airtel now offers 100GB of data along with unlimited voice calling benefits, 100 SMS messages per day and a one-year free subscription to Amazon Prime, Wynk Music, and Airtel TV. In addition, it also offers free handset protection and two add-on connection facility. The Rs 1.199 plan, on the other hand, offers 120GB of data along with all the other above-mentioned benefits.
It may be recalled that Airtel had also upgraded its Rs 649 postpaid plan last month to offer 90GB of data to the subscribers. It also offers unlimited voice calling benefits, 100 SMS messages per day and a free subscription to Amazon Prime, Airtel TV, and Wynk Music. This plan also offers rollover facility to the users.
In contrast, Vodafone had also revised some of its plans last month. To recall, it had revamped its Rs 499 postpaid plan that now offers 75GB of 3G/4G data with a rollover facility of 200GB maximum. In addition, it also offers unlimited calling benefits, 100 SMS messages per day, free subscription to Vodafone Play, Amazon Prime with device protection benefits and coupons. The company also revamped the Rs 1,299 Vodafone Red plan to offer 100GB of data and a maximum rollover facility of 500GB. It also offers free two months subscription to Netflix and 100 ISD minutes to the subscribers.
