Motorola Teases Moto G6 Plus Launch in India

The Moto G6 Plus is expected to arrive in India soon. Motorola has teased the launch of the smartphone in the country. To recall, the Moto G6 Plus was first unveiled alongside the Moto G6 and the Moto G6 Play, back in April. The smartphone was first launched in Brazil back in May and now it seems that it is all set to arrive in India. The Moto G6 Plus is the most premium handset of the Moto G6 series and features a larger screen with a powerful processor and larger RAM capacity. While the other two members of the Moto G6 family was launched in India in June, the Moto G6 Plus was delayed.

Motorola has posted a teaser of the Moto G6 Plus on its official Twitter handle which says that the smartphone is coming soon. The teaser includes a 16-second video which shows that the device will feature a ‘smart’ camera this is ‘BuiltForMore’. Notably, the company has not provided the details of a dedicated site for the users to register themselves for receiving notifications regarding the launch.

Coming to the price of the Moto G6 Plus, it was launched with a price tag of EUR 299 (Rs 24,350) in Brazil. The company is yet to reveal the price in India. To recall, the Moto G6 has a price tag of Rs 13,999 for the 3G RAM variant while it is Rs 15,999 for the 4GB RAM variant. The Moto G6 Play, on the other hand, costs Rs 11,999 with 3GB RAM. There is no information about the availability of the device in India either.

Talking about the specifications of the Moto G6 Plus, it features a 5.93-inch full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 630 processor with Adreno 508 GPU on top and 4GB RAM. On the optics front, the device features a dual camera setup on the rear panel with a 12-megapixel primary and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. On the front, it sports an 8-megapixel sensor for taking selfies. The device features LED flash on both sides of it. Powered by a 3,200mAh battery under the hood, it runs on stock Android Oreo 8.1 out of the box.
