Fortnite Now Available on Non-Samsung Android Devices

Fortnite was exclusively available on high-end flagship Samsung smartphones for the first 48 hours after the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Now, after the lapse of the mentioned period, the online multiplayer game has been made available on high-end non-Samsung smartphones. However, the game is only supported on some selected models only.

Since the game is not available on the Google Play store, users need to download the same from the official Fortnite website. Users need to sign up on the website first by providing their credentials. Once registration is completed, the users need to select their device from the list provided. In case, the device is not listed, you can select other Android devices option and download the installer app. You then need to run the installer app and it will detect the GPU to confirm the device. If your device is supported, the game will start downloading automatically. Here is a complete list of all supported Android devices:

  • Google: Pixel / Pixel XL, Pixel 2 / Pixel 2 XL
  • Asus: Zenfone 4 Pro, 5Z, V
  • Huawei: Honor 10, Honor Play, Mate 10 / Pro, Nova 3, P20 / Pro, V10
  • LG: G5, G6, G7 ThinQ, V20, V30 / V30+
  • Nokia: 8
  • OnePlus: 5 / 5T, 6
  • Xiaomi: Mi 5, Mi Mix 2
  • Nubia: Z17 / Z17s, Nubia Z11

Fortnite is currently available on multiple platforms like MacOS, Windows, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. However, currently, it is only available on high-end Android devices. The developer of the game is expected to optimize the game later so that users of entry-level Android devices can also play it on their smartphones.

The game is available for free on all these platforms and the users can play the Battle Royal mode or purchase PVE campaign packs. Notably, Fortnite is not officially available on the Google Play store as the developer need to share 30% of the profit with Google. The company did not want to share the profit with Google and hence it can only be downloaded from the official website.
