LG V40 ThinQ Leaked Renders Show Display Notch, 5 Cameras and More

South Korean electronics major LG recently launched the flagship LG G7 ThinQ with top of the line features and specifications. The smartphone was rolled out in India later at a price of Rs 39,000 and is now available for purchase via multiple modes. Now, the company is getting ready to launch the LG V40 ThinQ which is set to become the successor to the LG V30 ThinQ launched last year.

Some leaked renders of the alleged LG V40 ThinQ have appeared online spotted by MySmartPrice which reveals most of the specifications and features of the upcoming device. As per the leaked renders, the LG V40 ThinQ features a display notch like the iPhone X which can also be hidden via settings. Unlike the LG G7, the LG V40 features very thin bezels on the top and the bottom portion of the smartphone and no bezels on the sides.

The LG V40 ThinQ also features the 3.5mm headphone jack which is not present on most of the flagship devices of other makers. Apart from that, it sports a USB Type-C port for data syncing and charging and also comes with a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel of the device. This indicates that LG has not opted for the in-display fingerprint sensor as yet.

The renders also show that the device sports a premium glass sandwich design and it is likely to arrive with IPS certification for water and dust resistivity along with wireless charging support.

Like the LG G7 ThinQ flagship device, the LG V40 ThinQ is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC with a minimum of 6GB RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage space. The storage would be further upgradable with the help of a micro-SD card. It is also likely to come with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection.

As far as the launch date is concerned, LG is likely to announce the availability of the handset in October 2018 and it will probably run on Android 9 Pie out of the box. The pricing details are likely to be revealed by the company soon.
