Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has been launching two flagship devices every year for the last two years. The company had launched the OnePlus 3 followed by the OnePlus 3T in 2016. It was followed by the OnePlus 5 and the OnePlus 5T last year. Now, as per speculations, the company is expected to launch a sequel to the OnePlus 6 dubbed as OnePlus 6T in the next few months.
Ever since the launch of the OnePlus 6 device back in May this year, rumors were doing the rounds that the Chinese company will launch another handset in the OnePlus 6 range by the end of the year. Although, the company is yet to officially announce anything in this regard.
Now, as per a report by Piunikaweb, the existence of the OnePlus 6T device has been confirmed by the Assistant Head of the OnePlus forum moderator. A user had posted on the forum whether he should wait for the OnePlus 6T if he has plans to buy the OnePlus 6. The moderator’s answer to the query read “If you want to wait for 6T please do so as it will be out in coming months. But we need to wait for the official announcement”.
It may be recalled that late last year Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus had claimed that the company may not bring the OnePlus 6T this year until there are new technological advancements available. Since its rivals like Oppo and Vivo have come up with a lot of technological upgrades and innovations on their latest lineup of devices, it can be expected that the OnePlus 6T will also boast many new features to take on its rivals.
Coming to the new features which we can expect on the OnePlus 6T, concept designers have suggested that the upcoming flagship device from the company may follow the latest trend and include pop-up selfie camera, premium glass build body, in-display fingerprint sensor and a triple camera module on the rear panel.
