Samsung Galaxy On8 (2018) Available in India From Today

The latest affordable smartphone from Samsung called Galaxy On8 (2018) will be available for purchase in India from today. The Samsung Galaxy On8 (2018) was officially launched in the country last week, and now it is all set to go on sale for the first time. The smartphone features a 6-inch Infinity Display screen with various AI integrations and is the successor to the Samsung Galaxy On8 which was launched way back in 2016. It will be available via online ecommerce sites like Flipkart and Amazon India from 12 pm IST.

Coming to the price of the new smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy On8 (2018) is now available at an introductory price of Rs 16,900 after a discount of Rs 1,000. This discount is available for early buyers of the handset. Talking about the launch offers, customers buying the smartphone from Samsung Shop and Flipkart will get a cashback of Rs 2,750 and double data offer with Reliance Jio. Customers can also avail no-cost EMIs from both these vendors. Additionally, Axis Bank Buzz credit card holders will get a further discount of Rs 400 from Flipkart.

To recall the specifications, the Samsung galaxy On8 (2018) features a 6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 450SoC couped with 4GB RAM.

On the imaging front, the smartphone features a 16-megapixel primary sensor with a f/1.7 aperture and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with f/1.9 aspect ratio along with an LED flash. Samsung has also provided a number of additional capabilities to the rear cameras like Portrait Dolly, Background Blur Shapes, and Portrait Backdrop features. These features will allow the users to add more enhancements to the photos taken using the rear cameras. On the front, the smartphone features a 16-megapixel sensor with a f/1.9 aperture for taking selfies.

The Samsung Galaxy On8 (2018) comes with 64GB of internal storage space which is further upgradable with the help of a micro-SD card up to a maximum of 256GB. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack.  Powered by a 3,500mAh battery under the hood, the phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
