2018 Model iPhone with 6.1-inch Display Leaked in Four Color Options

Apple is expected to launch its new range of iPhone models at an event scheduled for September 12. The event will be held at the new Apple campus and it is speculated that the Cupertino based conglomerate will unveil three new iPhone models. It was reported earlier that the new models will be called iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max and the company may also launch the Apple Watch Series 4 alongside. The Apple watch Series 4 was recently leaked via renders that showed that the device will arrive with an Always-On display that will allow the users to perform small tasks like checking notifications or the time without having to turn on the display.

Now another leak has surfaced online which shows that the affordable iPhone model with a 6.1-inch LCD display will be available in four color variants. As per the leak, the dummy models of the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone suggests that the original device will be available in Gold, Blue, Red and White color variants.

The leak comes from tech site SlashLeaks which also reports that the affordable iPhone variant will feature an LCD display screen as opposed to OLED displays on the premium devices. The device will reportedly borrow its look from the iPhone 8 and will feature a glass back panel that will house the camera sensors. The leaked images do not provide a clear look of the front panel and if the rumors turn out to be true then the LCD iPhone will have similar looks to that of the Iphone 8 with slightly thicker bezels on the sides.

Talking about the pricing of the 6.1-inch LCD iphone model, it is likely to arrive with a price tag of $699 (Rs 50,136 approximately). This is in line with the price of the iPhone 8 that was launched last year. The premium OLED model with a 5.8-inch display, on the other hand, will be priced at $799 while the 6.5-inch model will cost $999 which would make it the costliest iPhone of all time.
