Motorola One Power Android One Smartphone to Launch in India Today

Motorola One Power, which is the latest Android One smartphone from the Lenovo owned Motorola is set to launch in India today. The company has scheduled a launch event in the country which will begin at 12 pm IST to launch the device. Notably, the Motorola One Power was unveiled at IFA 2018 alongside the Motorola One late last month. The Moto One Power is a device based on Android One initiative of Google and is exclusive to India. It is powered by a massive 5,000mAh battery and will receive the latest software and security updates from Google from time to time.

Talking about the price, while unveiling the Motorola One Power at IFA 2018, the company said that it could be priced around Rs 14,000 in India. This makes it a budget offering from the company and will compete with the budget offerings from other manufacturers like Asus, Xiaomi, Samsung and Nokia.

Coming to the specifications, the Moto One Power features a 6.2-inch full HD+ LCD Max Vision display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 636 SoC coupled with Adreno 509 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The smartphone features a dual rear camera module with a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with an LED flash. On the front, it features a 12-megapixel camera for taking selfies and video calling.

The device comes with 64GB of inbuilt storage space which can be further upgraded with the help of a micro-SD card up to a maximum of 256GB. In terms of connectivity, the Motorola One Power supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, USB Type-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack. It also features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for added security. Powered by a massive 5,000mAh battery under the hood, it runs on a stock version of Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and is upgradable to Android 9 Pie.
