Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) with Infinity Display and Triple Rear Cameras Launched

Samsung has launched a new mid-range smartphone in its home country, South Korea. Dubbed as Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018), it is the first smartphone from the South Korean tech giant to boast three cameras on its rear panel. Some of the other features include a full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display, Atmos audio technology, side mounted fingerprint sensor and a 24-megapixel selfie camera. Notably, the company also recently announced the Samsung Galaxy J4+ and the Galaxy J6+ which are expected to hit the Indian markets soon.

The price of the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) is yet to be announced by the company, but it has announced that the smartphone will be made available in select European and Asian countries by this fall. Apart from this smartphone, Samsung is also expected to launch another device on October 11 which will feature a quadruple rear camera setup. It would become the first smartphone from the company to feature as many as four cameras on its back panel.

Coming to the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) sports a 6-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The smartphone is powered by an unnamed octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz. It will arrive with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of inbuilt storage space. The internal storage is further upgradable with a micro-SD card.

On the optics front, the smartphone features a triple rear camera setup comprising of a 24-megapixel autofocus sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 5-megapixel depth sensor with fixed focus. On the front, it features a 24-megapixel sensor for selfies with an LED flash, Selfie Focus, and Pro Lighting mode.

In terms of connectivity, the smartphone features 4G VoLTE, dual-band WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC with Samsung Pay support, GPS, GLONASS, and 3.5mm headphone jack. It is powered by a 3,300mAh battery under the hood that supports fast charging and it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
