OnePlus 6T Cases Goes to Sale; Hints at In-Display Fingerprint Sensor and Dual Rear Cameras

OnePlus 6T, which is the next flagship offering from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus was previously expected to arrive with a triple camera setup on the rear panel. But now, an online listing of some phone cases by ZGAR highlights that the OnePlus 6T will feature a dual camera setup instead of three cameras. It is also expected that the Chinese company may introduce high-quality image sensors on the OnePlus 6T than the ones found on its predecessor, the OnePlus 6. Notably, popular tipster Roland Quandt also recently leaked a few renders of the OnePlus 6T which showed a dual camera setup on the rear panel.

As per the AliExpress listing that shows a variety of OnePlus 6T phone cases by ZGAR, a vertically placed dual camera is seen on the back panel. This puts to rest earlier rumors that claimed that the upcoming smartphone will feature a triple rear camera setup.

Apart from the dual camera setup, the phone cases also show that there is no room for a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel. As per some earlier reports, the OnePlus 6T was expected to arrive with an in-display fingerprint sensor and now it seems that the report may turn out to be true. If it does really come with an in-display fingerprint scanner, it would become the first device from OnePlus to feature this technology and will join the likes of Xiaomi, Vivo, and Oppo.

The OnePlus 6T cases are now available for purchase via AliExpress with a price tag of $4.2. However, the exact design of the smartphone may get changed before the actual launch so these facts should be taken with a pinch of salt.

The OnePlus 6T is expected to feature a 6.41-inch full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a waterdrop notch. It is likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage space. The smartphone is also not likely to feature a 3.5mm headphone jack.
