Samsung Galaxy A8 Star now Available in Offline Stores in India for Rs 34,990

Samsung has launched the Galaxy A8 Star in India recently. The device was launched with a price tag of Rs 34,990 and was available exclusively via Amazon India. The company had announced that the device would be rolled out to offline stores soon for the ones who do not like online shopping. Keeping its word, it has now rolled out the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star to official Samsung brand outlets and third-party retail stores across the country.

The information comes via a tweet posted by a renowned Mumbai based smartphone retailer Mahesh Telecom. The device is now available at the same price of Rs 34,990 although it is unclear whether the benefits and sale offer provided by Amazon are available in the offline as well.

To recall the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, the device comes with a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED Infinity display with a resolution of 1080 X 2220 pixels and 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It features very thin bezels on the sides of the display panel. Under the hood, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage space. The internal memory can be further upgraded with the help of a micro-SD card up to a maximum of 512GB.

On the optics front, the device features a dual camera setup on the rear panel with a 24-megapixel primary sensor and a 16-megapixel secondary sensor, both with a f/1.7 aperture. On the front, it features another 24-megapixel sensor for taking clear selfies and also to make video calls.

In terms of connectivity, the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star features 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS with GLONASS and USB Type-C port. It also features a fingerprint scanner for added security which has been placed on the rear panel below the camera module. It is fueled by a 3,700mAh battery that supports fast charging and runs on Android Oreo out of the box with Samsung Experience UI on top. The smartphone is available in two color options of Black and White.
