Samsung is expected to launch two new mid-range smartphones very soon. Called Samsung Galaxy J4 Prime and Samsung Galaxy J6 Prime, the devices are expected to make their way to Vietnam soon as per Samsung’s Vietnamese website. The website has listed two smartphones with model numbers SM-J415F/DS and SM-J610F/DS which is most likely to be the Samsung Galaxy J4 Prime and the Galaxy J6 Prime.
As per a report by a Dutch blog, the South Korean tech giant is expected to launch the Prime versions of Galaxy J4 and J6 in Vietnam and the Netherlands first followed by the rest of the countries. To recall, the company had launched the Samsung Galaxy J6 and Galaxy J4 back in May and now it looks all set to release the Prime versions.
The company has plans to release both the Prime versions together although very little information about the expected launch date, price and specifications is available right now. We are expecting more information to be revealed by the company fairly soon.
As per rumors, the Samsung Galaxy J6 Prime and the Galaxy J4 Prime are expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors which would replace the current Samsung Exynos quad-core chipsets available on non-prime models.
The Prime models of both the devices are also expected to run on Android 8.1 Oreo instead of Android 8.0 Oreo which is available on the non-prime Samsung Galaxy J6 and Galaxy J4 models. No other information about the specifications of the handsets is available now.
To recall the specs of the Samsung Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J6 models, both the devices feature a 5.5-inch full HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 X 1280 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:9. The devices are powered by Exynos 7570 SoC under the hood and are available in multiple variants in terms of RAM capacity and internal storage space.
