HMD Global, the licensee of Nokia smartphones recently rolled out the Android 9.0 Pie update for the Nokia 7 Plus and now, it has started rolling out the stable version of Android 9 Pie to Nokia 6.1. The Nokia 6.1 becomes the second smartphone from the company to receive the latest Android update and we can also expect the Nokia 6.1 Plus to get the stable update in the coming days.
Earlier this month, HMD Global had announced that the Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus would receive the stable Android 9 Pie update and the Nokia 8 and Nokia 8 Sirocco would receive the update sometime next month. Notably, the company is yet to announce the date of the rollout of the latest update for the above-mentioned smartphones. Since all these devices are based on Google’s Android One programme, we can expect them to receive the update very soon.
The Android 9.0 Pie update to Nokia 6.1 brings a host of new features like Adaptive Battery, Slices, redesigned system navigation gestures and much more. Alongside these features, Nokia 6.1 users also get exclusive access to app actions that offer predictions and display the next expected actions on the UI.
