LG has officially launched their latest tablet known as G PAD II 8.3 LTE in Korea. The tablet was earlier launched in two models, one was an 8-inch variant while the other one was a 10.1-inch variant. The company has now added an 8.3-inch variant in the list. The key feature of G PAD II 8.3 LTE is the 8.3-inch display and the full HD resolution along with the 4G Connectivity.
G PAD II 8.3 LTE comes with a 8.3-inch WUXGA display having a resolution of 1920*1200 pixels making it a FHD display. This tablet packs and octa-core processor under the hood, to be more specific it is Snapdragon 615 octa core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and 1.0GHz which has been coupled with Adreno 405 as the GPU. The device even boasts 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory which is expandable up to 128GB with the help of a microSD card.
The G PAD II 8.3 LTE will run on Android Lollipop 5.1.1 out of the box, sadly there is no word on the marshmallow update of the device yet. This tablet will sport an 8MP camera on the back and a 2MP camera on the front which is going to be useful for video callings, selfies etc. The good part is that the tablet comes with its own built-in stylus that can be used for various purposes. G PAD II 8.3 LTE also comes with various Microsoft Office Apps pre-loaded.
The tablet carries an elegant and slim look as it measures just 8.8mm in thickness and weighs just 366 grams.
As the name suggests, G PAD II 8.3 LTE supports 4G LTE connections as well as the standard 3G HSPA+. On the connectivity front, this tablet comes with WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. This tablet is juiced by a massive 4,800mAh battery which should be more than enough to run the tablet for a whole day. This tablet will go on sale in South Korea starting 23rd December. The other parts of the world still need to wait for G PAD II 8.3 LTE as there is no word on the global launch of this tablet.
