The creators of Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 have shared a few more things to help players get a better grasp of the world before the game releases later this month. A new video explores the once peaceful lands of Georgia alongside giving us a taste of the upcoming game’s original soundtrack, while a series of new screenshots help explain an important aspect of the SGW3 gameplay.
The soundtrack of Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 has been composed by Mikolai Stroinski, the man behind the OST of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as well as The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. The music that we hear in the clip has its roots in the folk music of the region it is set in but also blends it with modern elements. The accompanying video also helps shed light on the in-game circumstances of the Republic of Georgia. It begins with a focus on the beautiful landscapes, but as the clip progresses, various signs of destruction begin to appear. At one particular point, you can see body bags strewn all over the place.
Most notably, the music, with its almost melancholic tone, is drastically different from what we are used to hearing in action adventure titles in general. If you want to hear some more of it, you can buy the Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 OST from Spotify, iTunes, and the Google Play Store.
Besides that, the developers have also released new screenshots to give us an idea about the safe houses that will be found all over the map. Finding these will not be easy, however, but every time you do, expect to be rewarded with a new weapon being unlocked. The safe houses are one of the most important aspects of the game, as they will let you rest for a specific time, plan out your next mission, and find new weapons and upgrade existing ones using the Weapons Cache.
You can also craft new weapons at your Workbench.
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 arrives on the Windows PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on April 25, 2017.
