Until today, we were only anticipating and keep on the rumor mill churning about one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2016, the LG G5. But today, for the first time, we have heard some real and official news about this technological beast. A Hungarian website today leaked the HTTP user agent details of the upcoming LG flagship device revealing the model number the device carries and the OS on the phone runs in its pre-release testing. According to the information unearthed by that trusted Hungarian website, the model number of the LG G5 is going to be LG-H830 and the flagship will be pre-installed with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.
There is no surprise in the model number of the LG G5 as the phone simply follows the footsteps of its predecessor. The LG G4 came with a model number LG-H810, LG-H811, LG-H812, and LG-H815 model numbers and so we can safely assume that the model number revealed today in the user HTTP agent profile is of the upcoming flagship, LG G5. Also it is not a rocket science to understand that the company will launch their new flagship with the latest version of Android OS; especially when their bitter rival Samsung is launching their new flagship Galaxy S7 with the same OS. LG has already started sending the invitation for an exclusive media event on 21st February and we believe the company is going to launch the LG G5 on that media event. Notably Samsung is also launching their new flagship Galaxy S7 on that same day and the day is also the eve of the MWC opening in Barcelona.
