Chinese multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and services company Huawei has launched its latest flagship device Huawei Honor 9 in Europe at a price of 450 Euros. The device, which was launched in China a couple of weeks ago, is powered by octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor.
Huawei Honor 9 comes in two storage variants- a 4GB RAM/64GB internal memory variant and 6GB RAM/128GB internal storage. The internal storage can be further expanded with the help of a microSD card. While the former is available in the UK, the later is availableĀ for the entire of Europe. It has a curved metal and glass design. It features a 5.15-inch full HD with 1920*1080 pixel resolution. Running on Android Nougat-based Emotion UI 5.1, it supports 4G LTE. It comes in three color variants – Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue, and Glacier Grey.
It comes with a dual-camera set-up for the secondary camera with one being a 12-megapixels and 20-megapixels sensor, the first being a primary RGB one and the later being the monochrome one. The secondary camera is of 8-megapixel.
The connectivity options of the smartphone include Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFI 802.11ac, besides support for 4G LTE. It is backed by a 3,200mAh battery., with support for fast charging. It also sports a front-mounted fingerprint sensor, as per The Verge.
The device is the successor of Huawei Honor 8. The display of Honor 9 is a bit smaller than that of its predecessor. It also will have features for geo-tagging, touch focus, panorama, HDR, face detection and autofocus.
Besides the UK, the device is available in Portugal, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain. In the UK, the device is priced at 379.99 pounds.
Last week, it was announced that the device would launch in India in August. Measuring 147.3*70.9*7.45mm, Honor 9 weighs 155gm.
