When it comes to variants, Asus and Xiaomi are engaged in a fierce fight over who will launch the maximum number of variants. We say this because a smaller sibling will soon join the Asus Zenfone 4 Max has. Then again, the Zenfone series does have its fair share of variants. With the launch of the Zenfone 4 Max mini variant, we expect that the mid-range and budget smartphone market will get a boost.
We have earlier covered the Zenfone 4 series, of which the Zenfone 4 Max is a prominent member. To refresh our memories, the Zenfone 4 Max comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display, along with dual rear cameras, as well as the Snapdragon 430 processor. It also comes with a massive 5000mAh battery.
While the original Zenfone 4 Max came with the model number ZC554KL, the newer model will bear the model number ZC520KL. First reported by a German technology site, WinFuture, the new Asus variant will also come with pretty different specs and features.
Let us have a look at the specs and features of the newer variant. It has a smaller display at only 5.2-inch which is down from the 5.5-inch display on the bigger variant. This display will have a resolution of 720p. The ZC520KL model boasts of a Snapdragon 425 SoC and the RAMand internal storage combination will be 3GB and 32GB. The bigger Asus Zenfone device had 13MP dual cameras; instead of that, this newer variant will have one rear camera with a 13MP sensor besides a 5MP secondary one.While the Zenfone 4 Max had a 5000mAh battery, a very respectable 4100mAh battery. This is not bad for a 5.2-inch 720p phone.
As far as the price tag is concerned, the Zenfone 4 Max, model ZC520KL, will come for €229 or around $270. Available color options include black, gold, and pink.
