The American multinational technological supergiant Microsoft has announced the launch of their latest Lumia series smartphone, the Lumia 650 in India. The dual-SIM supported Lumia 650 is also the last handset of this series and the phone will be available exclusively on Amazon India. The brand new Lumia 650 will come in two color variants; that is matte black and matte white colors and is priced at Rs. 16100.
The handset was initially launched in February globally and soon after that it gets listed on the company’s India site. The American tech conglomerate also gives stress on the fact that the Microsoft Lumia 650 will offer its users the “perfect balance between work and personal needs.” It’s worth mentioning that though the device was launched in both single and dual-SIM model but only the later one will be available in India.
Ajey Mehta, the Country General Manager of Microsoft India commented on the launch event that, “We crafted the Lumia 650 with the finest detail while delivering a consistent and familiar Windows 10 experience. Lumia 650 brings the best of Microsoft productivity, beautiful design and an affordable price. The device is perfect for enterprises and Windows fans alike.”

If we talk about the specifications of the Microsoft Lumia 650, the handset flaunts a 5-inch OLED HD display with a 1280 x 720 resolution and a pixel density of 297 PPI. The display is also protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with support for ClearBlack and features automatic brightness control and sunlight readability enhancements.
Under the hood, the Lumia 650 comes packed with a 1.3 GHz Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor coupled with 1GB RAM. The handset runs on the latest Windows 10 OS and houses an internal storage of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 200GB through a microSD card.

On the camera aspect of the phone, the rear camera of the Lumia 650 sports an 8MP camera with autofocus, f/2.2 aperture, LED flash, sensor with 2x zoom features. On the other hand the front-facing snapper is accompanied by a 5MP sensor with HD video resolution.

The all new Lumia 650 is powered by a 2000mAh battery which according to the company’s claim will provide a stand by time of up to 26 days and a talk time of up to 16 hours. As we said earlier, the handset supports dual Nano-SIMs and 4G LTE in India.

Just like all the other Windows 10 devices, the Microsoft Lumia 650 Dual SIM also comes with the Microsoft suite of productivity apps such as Office apps, for creating and editing documents while travelling; OneDrive, for cloud storage, and Cortana, company’s newly launched personal assistant. Microsoft India said that the Lumia 650 will allow the tech professionals to “test the latest Windows 10 Mobile updates against critical line of business systems and apps”, before it will be available for the common people via the online retail shops.
