Following the launch of Canvas Spark 2 Plus in India, Micromax launched the all new Canvas Mega 2 smartphone at the price of Rs 7,999. During the launch of Canvas 6 and Canvas 6 Pro last month, the company introduced Canvas Mega 2 with the promise of launching the device officially within a few weeks.
Canvas Mega 2 supports 6-inch touchscreen with 540×960 pixels resolution display. It’s powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, that comes coupled with a 1GB of RAM. The handset has got 8GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via a microSD card. Lions runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and supports 5-megapixel selfie camera and 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera. The device is powered by a 3000mAh Li-Po battery.

With the launch of the all new Canvas Mega 2 is aimed at strengthening the company’s position in the market of phablet. During the launch, Micromax informed that the company holds over 15% market share in the country’s phablet segment.
