Xiaomi Mi 5S will come with a Dual Camera Set Up

Xiaomi is expected to unveil the highly-anticipated Mi 5S at an event on September 27, and the company has left no stones unturned to create ample hype surrounding the upcoming smartphone. Just days earlier, Xiaomi had revealed a teaser image featuring a gigantic “S” in the middle which sported a cryptic number which is alleged to be the Mi 5S‘s score on the benchmarking site AnTuTu.

Not willing to play coy unlike some of the fancier smartphone makers in the market, Xiaomi has yet again teased what seems to be the camera set-up on the Xiaomi Mi 5S, and from the looks of it, the upcoming smartphone is all set to be equipped with twin cameras on the back panel, a technology that has taken the cellular world by storm. This is in keeping with the earlier leaks that had suggested a similar camera feature for the Mi 5S. However, Xiaomi’s teaser differs on the grounds that it shows a vertically placed set-up, compared to the horizontal one in the fashion of the iPhone 7 that had been anticipated earlier. The image has the Xiaomi logo on the top right corner, and the text below the camera image translates to ” “In addition to dual-camera, what else?” The Mi 5S was earlier rumoured to come with a 16MP primary camera at the back and a 4MP secondary front snapper. But after the appearance of this teaser, it looks like that will undergo some change.

From all the information that has been teased by the company, the Xiaomi Mi 5S looks like it’s going to be a very promising offering. The smartphone has already scored an impressive 164,002 on AnTuTu, according to some leaked screenshots, which beats most of the other phones in similar categories. Alongside these, the smartphone is also touted to come with Qualcomm’s latest ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, dubbed the Snapdragon Sense ID. he new technology will allow the makers to house the sensor underneath a variety of surfaces ranging from glass to sapphire and even plastic. Going by this possibility, users may be able to unlock the Mi 5S by touching anywhere on the screen.

As mentioned earlier, the Xiaomi Mi 5S is one of the most speculated devices among the upcoming ones. This means that many of its features and key specs have already been anticipated, and some have been leaked by unofficial sources. According to these, the Xiaomi Mi 5S will feature a 5.5-inch full-HD display with a pixel resolution of 1080 x 1920. It is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 821 64-bit quad-core processor and come coupled with 6 GB of RAM along with 256 GB of internal storage. The smartphone will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 on top, and be backed by a large 3,490 mAh battery.

A new rumour states that Xiaomi may also reveal a smaller, 4-inch version of the Mi 5S with significantly downgraded specs.
