New leaks show metal chassis that encases the smartphone. It was spotted again and has got a Wi-Fi certificate. We think, the handset’s imminent launch is getting closer.
The third version of the Galaxy A5 – the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) has received Wi-Fi certification from the WiFi Alliance (WFA). There is one single (SM-A520F) and the another dual-SIM (SM-A520F/DS) model for the handset. Both single-SIM and dual-SIM models (SM-A520F and SM-A520F/DS) have been certified. The listing reveals that the smartphone will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and not Android 7.0 Nougat. Other key specs of the device revealed are 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, an Exynos 7880 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory that can be expandable up to 256GB via microSD, a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 3,000mAh non-removable battery. Other than these, there has been no other information regarding the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017).
The specs are a notch higher than the last instalment. To recall, Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) features a 5.20-inch touchscreen display with 1080×1920 pixels resolution. The handset is powered by 1.6GHz octa-core and it comes with 2GB of RAM. It packs 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. Speaking of the camera, it packs a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies.
The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) measures 144.80 x 71.00 x 7.30, weighs 155.00 gm, runs Android 5.1 and is powered by a 2900mAh non-removable battery. It is a dual SIM smartphone that accepts two Nano-SIM (GSM and GSM).
