Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming soon in the market, and this news has been hovering around for quite a while now. Although the release of the game is a long way from now, a teasing comment from one of the top officials has made awaiting fans of the games very much excited. Red Dead Redemption 2 is going to be the third instalment in the Red Dead series and the sequel to Red Dead Redemption which came out in 2010.
The release of the Red Dead Redemption 2 is a long way from now but the buzz is getting started to be created. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick leads the creation of the buzz around this game by saying that he was “Not shocked, very pleased” to hear the announcement of the game in October. At an MKM Partners event, Zelnick was very much excited about the release of the game as he said that the announcement is enormous for the wild west sequel. While explaining the fact that it might just be the right time to work on bringing out the game he has been quoted saying, “The conventional wisdom was of course that a western wouldn’t work. We took a different point of view, which is that very occasionally westerns capture the imagination of the public. When we launched Red Dead, it did. And those times were right for that. And I think the times are right for a big, sprawling, optimistic view of America again – and that’s not meant to be cute.” He also that the fans can afford to expect an “incredible emotional depth” to the game as the game is going to have “great story elements and great gameplay elements.”
Rockstar has also revealed a trailer for the game and taking a cue from that fans have expressed that they expect Red Dead Redemption 2 to be a Magnificent Seven-style prequel and it would feature Bill Wiliiamson, John Marston and others belonging to the Williamson gang. A statement from the maker of Red Dead Redemption 2 reveals, “Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland.” They have also stated that “The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.” However, there has been no revelation of the fact whether john Marston, voice actor Rob Weithoff will make a comeback or not.
It is expected that Red Dead Redemption 2 is going to be available in the market for the Xbox One and Playstation 4. Expectations are high regarding the number of copies to be sold in the market as experts predict that there will be at least 15 million of copies sold once the game hits the market later on. However, the users of the Nintendo gaming console are set to miss this game. Michael Patcher, Wedbush Securities analyst, said to Gamingbolt, “I would say the chances [of RDR coming to Switch] are exceedingly poor. I can’t remember any game other than – there was a GTA made for the DS, which came out in 2009 – I’d be really surprised if they wasted their effort to port anything for Nintendo.” He added, “I just think that Nintendo has wandered too far away from the mainstream for most of the publishers, so you’re just not getting mainstream games produced for Nintendo consoles- not ones made for other consoles, at any rate.”
However, it seems that the fans of the game Red Dead Redemption are going to get an exciting game from Rockstar games once they release Red Dead Redemption 2 later on. The trailer has also revealed the fact that the fans can expect something incredible from the upcoming game. To add to that, Zelnick’s comment that Red Dead Redemption 2 is going to have an incredible gameplay makes it all set for the fans to wait for the official release of the game. And the game is going to be worth waiting.
