Samsung is rumoured to be releasing its latest flagship device in the month of February next year. The new device will be a part of the popular ‘S’ series of Samsung which has taken the world by a storm since its first production. The upcoming device is undoubtedly going to be one of the finest in recent times for it promises an upgrade in already sleek design.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Features
As the rumours have gone by, Samsung Galaxy S8 will be sporting an edgy look. It is reported to be sporting an edge-to-edge look or less- bezel screen display, and it’s based on OLED technology. This will enable a 90% display area ratio. Reports also suggest that the latest device will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 processor or Samsung Exynos 8995 chipset. However, no concrete information has been leaked. The 5.1-inch screen will have a resolution of 1440 x 2560p and Super AMOLED Capacitive touchscreen.
The camera is perhaps going to be equally attractive with 12 MP primary camera with Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF). The selfie camera will be of 8 MP. The primary camera will be assisted by OIS and dual-LED flash. The Samsung Galaxy S8 will enable 4K video recording at 2160p@60fps, 1080p@120fps and dual-video recording. The device will run on Android 7.0 OS.
Samsung Galaxy S8, which is in talks for release early next year, will reportedly have 6 GB RAM and an internal storage capacity of 64 GB or 128 GB. The phone will be available in the market in these two variants. It will have an expandable memory of 256 GB. In the single sim model, there will be a dedicated external SD card slot whereas the dual-sim one will use the second sim slot as the SD card slot. Nothing much has been in the news regarding its battery backup although it’s due to feature a non-removable Li-ion battery.

All the features are in a state of speculation. But one thing is for sure there will be a complete overhaul when the phone gets launched in February 2017. Whatever overhauling takes place will ultimately result in a much better smartphone than that of their previous product, the Galaxy S7. It will enable Samsung to get back the credibility which they somewhat lost when they brought into market their last high-end phone.
