A new Gionee smartphone was spotted after clearing TENAA and is rumoured to be the Gionee F106. TENAA is a Chinese certification authority and is instrumental in ensuring that mobile devices comply with existing standards. The Gionee F106 runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and has a 1.25 GHz octa-core processor. The new smartphone also has a distinctive screen size of 4.99 inches and features an IPS-HD display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels.

The features of the to-be-released Gionee F106 as listed on TENAA, are listed here for your perusal. Reports indicate The smartphone will have a decent if not outstanding 2 GB RAM. An internal memory space of 16 GB is provided which can be expanded via a microSD slot. The rear camera is an 8 MP snapper while the phone may ship with a 5MP front unit.
