Gaming Best Mods For Fallout 4: Gaming Nirvana Lies in The Details By Krishanu Chatterjee Posted on January 10, 2017 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Reddit Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Share on Tumblr Fallout 4 is the fifth major instalment in the action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game was released worldwide on November 10, 2015, and is set within an open world post-apocalyptic wasteland that once was the city of Boston and the surrounding Massachusetts region but is now known simply as “The Commonwealth”. The main story is set in the year 2287, ten years after the events of Fallout 3. Users have grown attached to the ruins that exist now after catastrophic nuclear devastation across the United States. We list some of the best mods that will enable you to have the most immersive gaming experience possible. Mods make the game more substantial Enhanced Wasteland While Fallout 4 is an undeniably well-designed game, the open world environment sometimes ends up throwing up software glitches while exploring. Users have also complained that unlike its predecessors, Fallout 4 is pretty mundane. The Enhanced Wasteland mod for SweetFX 2.0 makes the Commonwealth more vibrant and adds a greater amount of depth to the proceedings of the game. A visit to the realm is also enhanced. You can download it here. Enhanced Blood Textures This mod does exactly what the name suggests. The post-apocalyptic nature of the game ensures that a great deal of bloodshed is on the cards. It stands to reason that the splatterfest is added in a way which mirrors reality. Download this mod here. Faction Housing Overhaul This mod adds a gym, a laundry room and a shower area for maximum immersion when playing the game in a post-apocalyptic environment. The faction housing areas are places where the player comes to wash up or rest at certain points. This mod turns the dump into a more habitable and hospitable area. Workbenches and other features complete the experience. Download it here for Vault 81. Crossbows of the Commonwealth The crossbow the user gets in this mod is an extension the aphorism of age-old weaponry coinciding with modern day killing efficiency. The mod provides an excellently rendered crossbow for superior use. Used for stealthy and silent kills, users can add other preferred attachments to it using the workbench, and spruce up with a number of types of bolts for it. Download it here. Commonwealth Militia Armory The standard assault rifle after installing the Commonwealth Militia Armory mod This superbly created mod replaces the standard Fallout 4 assault rifle. The standard assault rifle too is no push over, for it is actually a massive water-cooled Maxim machine gun mounted in trench pillboxes. The grey and blue textures of the barrels are not included in the main mod but are available to spice things up. Download it here for a better weapon. Any Mod Any Weapon The name says it all. Use any modification for any weapon. The maximum shock value of the game is at your disposal once this mod is installed. Imagine other-worldly weapons like an electric triple-barreled Gatling minigun and you will find it here. The mod is available here. Beastmaster By far one of our favourite mods, this will allow you to command a Deathclaw as your sidekick. Compared to the competing mod, Wasteland Workshop’s taming function, this is much better at what it does and enables you to tame these wild creatures and make them your companions. You can rename your pet, accessorise them, send them out to perform your own scavenger hunts and even mutate them with serums according to your desires. Get it here. To use these mods, you can always follow the official instructions detailed here.
